After helping the Giants win three World Series titles over the past decade, Sergio Romo is joining the enemy.
Romo has agreed to a contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers for next season, as first reported by Jon Morosi of MLB Network.

A report surfaced yesterday that Romo, a free agent, was deciding between joining the Dodgers or another, unnamed club. Romo grew up in Southern California and was a Dodgers fan as a young boy.
Romo, 33, has expressed his desire to return to the Giants on multiple occasions this offseason, most recently on Tuesday, when he told SirusXM that he’d ‘love to go back to San Francisco, but at this point, it doesn’t seem to be in the cards.’
Giants general manager Bobby Evans stated during the winter meetings that the club was not planning on returning Romo, Javier Lopez or Santiago Casilla this offseason. Lopez remains a free agent, while Casilla signed a two year deal with the Oakland A’s, his original club.
Romo, 33, was drafted by the Giants in the 28th round of the 2005 draft, and spent his entire career in San Francisco up till this point. The right-hander missed a healthy chuck of the season in 2016 recovering from elbow surgery, but ended up finishing with solid numbers, his 2.64 ERA his lowest since 2013.
