It’s hard to find a player who was as universally well-liked in the Giants’ clubhouse as George Kontos was. And that’s what made Saturday a bittersweet day for Kontos, his teammates and the Giants’ coaching staff.

But 2017 has hardly been ideal for Sandoval, or for the Giants, and now, they’ll try to recreate some magic together.
